The Kamloops Indian Residential School was operational from 1923 to 1978 and was once the largest residential school in Canada with over 500 students attending in the 1950’s. On this tour you will walk through the school building including the kitchen, dining hall, and sleeping quarters. The tour guides share historical photos and stories about what life was like for children who attended the school throughout the decades.
This tour is not accessible to people with mobility issues. There are 93 stairs in this tour, so please wear appropriate shoes.
