Housing Hub and Affordable Housing Solutions

How can we create more affordable rental housing and homeownership options for middle-income residents in Kamloops, based on the specific challenges and opportunities in our community? BC Housing CEO Shayne Ramsay will introduce the HousingHub, a new division within BC Housing seeking innovative and non-traditional partnerships across the province.

The HousingHub is a centre for housing expertise and collaboration, providing low-cost financing, expertise to assist in the planning and development process, project coordination, a place for organizations to collaborate and access to pre-development funding. The presentation will also outline new funding including Building BC programs for families, seniors, women and families fleeing violence, Indigenous groups and people experiencing homelessness; and renovation initiatives to extend the life, quality and affordability of existing affordable housing.
