Robin Kierstead WorkSafeBC  - Robin is originally from Ontario, where she completed her Bachelors of Health Science and Masters of Science (Physiotherapy). After moving to BC, she completed her Occupational Health and Safety Certificate at BCIT. Robin has worked for a number of years as a Physiotherapist in occupational rehabilitation programs, as a Medical Assistant in the Canadian Forces and as a Case Manager at WorkSafeBC. Robin’s interest in rehabilitation, return to work and health and safety lead to her to her dream job as an Employers’ Advisers in the Kamloops office. As an Employers’ Adviser, Robin helps employers navigate everything WorkSafeBC related. Robin resides in Sun Peaks where she loves to bike and ski; she is one of those people excited for the snow to fly!

Maria Gonzalez, MFRE MNP LLP -  is a Senior Advisor with MNP’s Cannabis Practice. Through her work in the cannabis space, Maria brings a unique understanding of the Canadian cannabis industry, including its evolving trends and regulations.

Maria has led the development of some of MNP’s key research projects including a global cannabis industry report and a snapshot of the Canadian cannabis industry. She has been called upon to speak at various cannabis industry conferences as a Subject Matter Expert and contributes to firm thought-leadership pieces. Maria also has direct experience assisting many licensed cannabis producers, late stage ACMPR applicants, and cannabis retail applicants, across the country.

Maria holds a Masters in Food and Resource Economics from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts with degree specialization in Economics and Business from the University of Texas at Austin.
