When asked, people in business agree that networking is crucial to a business' success.  But when given the opportunity to attend a networking event, many shy away because the thought of meeting new people is outside of their comfort zone.
 
The Workshop
Often offered through your local chamber of commerce, this 1.5 hour workshop is action-packed and prepares anyone for a better networking experience.  
 
Deb will outline practical tips for every aspect of networking.  From preparing yourself to network, to getting out and doing it, to following up, you will understand the basic principles that will help you to build your network more effectively.  And you will have fun doing it!

Deb McClelland's Bio:
Over the years, Deb’s passion has been to assist individuals in their development as business leaders in the community.  And networking is her passion!
 
Deb has worked in the not-for-profit field for over 25 years and most recently as Executive Director at the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce.  In that time, she honed her skills as the consummate networker, always understanding that every encounter is an opportunity to develop her network.
 
Deb has been recognized as Executive of the Year and Chamber of the Year by her provincial network and Executive of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada. Most recently, she was appointed to the Council of Excellence by a panel of her peers across the country and as Fellow with the BC Chamber of Commerce.
