Community Resources Medical Centres & Services
Day One Society originated with the Parents Alert Society in 1973 with a group of concerned parents focused on the dramatic increase of drug use by the youth of Kamloops. This group established Adonis House shortly after near the downtown core. This program supported those with addictions by demonstrating an alternative lifestyle and encouraging clients to make constructive change. The program operated until 1979 when Adonis House was converted to a Detox facility and the Society began the development of Phoenix Centre.
