The Kamloops Ambassador Society provides training and guidance to the youth to further develop skills and experience through a variety of classes and activities. Some of these classes include:
* Orienteering
* Auto Mechanics
* Ballroom Dance
* City Affairs
* Etiquette
* Financial Planning
* Internet Safety
* Knowledge of Kamloops
* Street Awareness
* Networking
* Volunteerism
* Speech Training
* Meeting with Community Leaders
To participate in the Program, candidates must be attending school and be in Grades 10-12. Candidates are solely responsible for getting their own sponsor who will support them through their candidacy.
Over the course of six months, candidates participate in several community events and are judged on a prepared speech, knowledge of Kamloops and a sponsor presentation. Culminating with a final judged interview and the annual election in July, new Ambassadors are chosen by a panel of judges and serve for the period of one year.
